I read your suggested work around and found that I did not need to all that
it said to do.
I only performed step 1 (see below). I exported the file as a web site and
all is well.
I get a lot of help from your site, and fell that I owe you the feedback
when I succeed in finding a resolve for a situation that is different than
yours. Hope this will help others as well.

From the work around page:
1.. Click to select your text box. While holding CTRL, click each of the
objects that the text wraps around until all of the objects are selected.
Click the Group icon.
2.. Right-click the grouped object, and then click Save as Picture.
3.. Click Enhanced Metafile.
4.. Save the picture to the location that you want on your computer's hard
disk.
5.. Insert the saved picture by pointing to Picture on the Insert menu,
and then clicking From File.
6.. Delete the original objects from the page.
