QT Video jerky after upgrade to PPT 2004 for Macintosh

Quicktime videos in my presentation ran smoothly in PPT 2003 for Mac.
After the upgrade to PPT 2004, the same presentation now runs the same
videos very poorly. They look like frames are dropping at an extreme rate.

What can I do to improve video performance in PPT 2004? I may have to de-
upgrade back to PPT 2003 if performance does not improve! That's no fun.

This is a known issue. Here is what Nancy Cho [MS] posted:
"To everyone who is sending me and has sent me files, thanks so much. We
have found a "temporary workaround"...but we see the problem and are working
on it. The workaround for now is to decrease the movie size on the slide by
going to the format menu and select picture. Click on the size tab and in
the scale selection, check the Best for slide show checkbox and select the
appropriate resolution for the slide show display."

By the way, there is no PowerPoint 2003 for Mac. At any rate, many videos
don't play as speedily as in previous versions of PowerPoint for Mac.
