Quarter page card

I would like to make a quarter page greeting card without
folding an 8 x 11 sheet of paper. I want to make a
smaller card like you can purchase in the store. All the
greeting cards that I make are the half-size card. I
want to make one half the size of a half-size. Am I
making sense?

I just bought some Avery cards that do exactly this. The stock number is
8315, and although they're designated for inkjets, they print fine in a
laser printer as well (I printed a color picture with my DeskJet, then ran
them back through my LaserJet to print the black text). The cards are on the
top and bottom half of the sheet, perforated and scored for folding, and the
package includes envelopes. Although these are matte white, there are
similar versions available in textured paper and other colors.
