Querie will not repair

We are using Access 2003 as a front end to a SQL server, but one of the .mdb
files is not functioning correctly, it will on a daily basis become corrupt
and demand to be repaired, using accesses auto repair function it appears to
be repaired fine but when you access a particular report it will nut run,
looking further in to this the report is actually fine but the quire it is
running from is broken. The fault that has occurred with the quire is that it
has no joins between tables, I have attempted to manually rejoin these tables
but it makes no difference.

I have attempted to use the JetComp tool to fix the front-end before it
encountered a problem but this just exacerbated the problem and the quire was
broken immediately. Does any one know what could be causing this problem at
all, or have any idea of how to fix it?

Thanks for any help.

Stoop,

Usually, when a query gets "corrupted" the way you explain, it is because
one of the elements of the query (either a table or another query) does not
exist at that time (I have it happen occassionally when I forget to link a
table). If that is not the cause of your problem, I would recommend creating
a new database, and importing all of the objects from your front end into
that database. If that doesn't resolve the problem, try copying your SQL to
a text file, delete the offending query, then compact and repair the
database, and recreate the bad query using the SQL you stored before.

Hi Dale,

I think I'll try recreating a new database as that seem s quite likely to
work, if that does not work then I'll give modifying the SQL a try although
I'm not to shure on what to do exactly but it'll be an adventure.

Thanks,

Stoop
