Queries from tables that have more than 255 fields

Hello all -

I've been racking my brain on this for some time now. I have users that
want to run queries against tables on our AS/400. The problem is, some of
the tables have more that 255 fields. MS Access will only show the first
255 fields. Is there any way to be able to get to the fields 256+?
Importing is not an option, since there are many thousands of records. I've
heard that this can be done, but so far, I haven't found a solution.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

No way that I know of. Use multiple queries.

(Who the heck designed those tables anyway?)
