Query Builder not displaying tables column information

Hi,
Connection to a remote sql server database. All tables etc. can be
viewed and manipulated fine. When using the Access query builder however,
when I add a table I only get the "All Columns" check box on the table
schema window for each table. This is extremely frustrating and suggests
that something more serious is the problem. Can anyone help?

You say "query builder" are you using an mob to connect to the SQL?
I have run into this in ASK MDB's. I just go into the SQL pane and remove
it.
