Query By Form Options

My form is based on a query that parses a single field
into 2 expressions with a mid operator.

When the form is turned into a QBF and either parsed
control is chosen, the picklist of options is populated
with the full field not the parsed value.

How can I get the picklist to have the unique parsed
values?
