Query can update data, but form based on query will not

Using Access97, I have a query with multiple joins. I had
to change the recordset type to dynaset(inconsistent
updates)to be able to add.edit information in the query.
THe form that runs off this query will not let me add/edit
fields. I have tried changing the recordset type in the
form to the same option I did in the query but then no
information shows in the form at all. Anyway around this?
