Query for Data Access Page

I have a DAP based on a query. The query has a field with
the criteria set to Like "318%", which pulls all of the
data beginning with 318. However, where the other records
would normally be without the criteria expression, there
are blank lines (records if you will). Can someone tell me
how to get rid of these blank lines?
