Query-list last date only.

I have a dB with all the activity for each item by serial
no. and date. I want to run a query that will show me
every serial no. but only the last (by date) entry.

Serial No. / Date / event / location

right now I am getting 20,000 lines in the report. I want
the last date of each serial no.

make a query with two columns: Serial No. and Date. Select
the Group option (Looks like a summation or greek letter
and says Totals when you hover over). You will get a new
option for each field just above the Sort option called
Total. Put 'Group By' (default) on Serial No. and Max on
Date.

I read that Karen actually wants event / location returned as well as serial
number and date. In this case, she needs a SubQuery in a Query.

The question has already been answered in another newsgroup (queries, I
think).
