query newbie question

When I try to run a query, I get the message "wizard unable to open query,
another user has a source table open in exclusive mode"...how do I fix this?

How are you running the query. Is the table open in design view?

Is the table used on a Form? Is the form open when you're trying to run the
query? What is the locking scheme of the table on the form?
