Query Problems in exisiting database

I have issues with running queries an exisiting databse in access 2003. I
have a combo box whose source is a simple query and up to recently worked
perfectly fine. Now when opening a form with the combo box the combo box is
empty. If I create a new combo box in a blank form with the same query the
combo box still doe not display the query contents. It does however display
column with integer values, but not the column with text content. If I run
the same database in access 2007 the combo baox works fine. This is a split
dtabase with a frontend and replicated backend. I can run any from end
connected to various backens and the same problem exists - OK in 2007 and No
Good in 2003. I have just imported the front end into a blank database and I
get a jetengin error message for all queries.
To me it sound like the Access application has a incurred a bug of some
kind. The problem in access 2003 is on two separate machine running 2003.

Is there some patch that need to be installed.

Help needed urgently

I'm not clear from your description...

It sounds like the back-end data may now be in Access 2007 format. If so,
Access 2003 won't know how to read it.

One option if this is the case is to use Access 2007 and "Save As" an Access
2003 db. That way the earlier version can still read it.

Thanks for your message,

Since sending message I have uninstalled and re-installed office 2003 and
the databse now works fine. I am not sure whether during the sync process
which is managed from the front end using code something is going wrong.

Although the databse is developed in Access 2007 the default format option
is set to 2003 format.

This is a new problem sinc ethe databse has been running ok for quite
sometime now.
