What I’m trying to do is combine spot play queries into a single report.
I made up ten queries. At the end of each query in the design view, I click
in the first blank column, first box, where you would normally identify a
field name. I type in SpotPlay1:â€1†for the first query and SpotPlay2:â€2†etc
for the other queries, ending with SpotPlay10:â€10â€
Then I created a table to hold all my spot plays together. I went into the
design view of the first query and make it a Make-Table Query. I called it MY
Spots. I chose Current Database button.
Then I ran the first query to put its data into new table My Spots.
Then I went into the design view of table My Spots and add all the other
query fields.
Then I went into each query design view and made it an append query.
I chose My Spots as the table to append the data to.
I then put My Spots into a Report.
All worked fine. Each horse in a race had the Spot Play Number 1-10 applied
to it if it met that query requirement. The only problem is each time a spot
play applied to a horse it would print the horse name out and the spot play
associated to it. If it had 5 spot plays associated to it, it would print the
horse name out 5 times.
My question is there anyway I can get my report to print out the horses name
once with the number of spot plays that apply to that horse.
I didn’t design the above so I’m a little lost.
If I confused you, let me know.
Thanks for any help.
