Query run automatically

I use switchboards to open and print reports. I would like
to know how to run a given query by just clicking on
the "open" command button of a corresponding report?

From your description, it sounds like you want a report to open, and that
report is based on a query. If so, you don't need to do anything to the
query.

Opening a report will run any query(ies) it uses.

Do you mean that the data is updated automatically when
opening the report? without having to run the query, that
sounds really excellent!

The data is the data, and lives in the table. Your query finds whatever you
ask for. Your report tells the query to run, then displays.

The query (and report) do not "update" the data, but I suppose you could
consider what happens as "refreshing" your view of the data.
