Query - Table info

I am using Access 97,

I have two tables on with names in and another with items
out, I link to the Names with a combo box in the Items out
table, I now want to run a query to sort out who has what
but saves entering there name I would like to have a drop
down menu appear when I open the query, that way I know I
have the name right.

Please help....

Exactly like you say.
Use a list box and set the source of the list box to a
unique query for the names variable in your table. This
way when you start entering the name it will automatically
show.
