Query to get value from subform control

I have some calculated values in controls on a subform, which I would like to
extract via a query and then use them elsewhere.
The main form is called Main
The subform is Materials
The control is Volume
I have tried several expressions in a query but get blanks all the time -
could somebody provide the correct syntax, please?
