Querying a memo field

Hello,

When I run a query on a table that has a memo field
(simply reproducing that field, not working on it), the
result is a bunch of odd characters. I need to have the
actual data in the memo field generated so that I can
display it in a database results query in FrontPage.

Can someone help me? Is there a statement in the query
properties or some other item that I need to adjust?
