Question 2 sort order and sub folders in add contact

J

Jonathan

When I create a new e-mail, click To: to add ane-mail
address.

To the right I have "Show names from the:" and then a
drop down list so I can pick a sup folder of contacts.

Q 1- why does the drop down list display folder names in
the order they were created and not sorted?

Q 2- Why can't I access sub folders so inmy contacts
list a have a folder 195 Garfield with 2 sub folders for
Tenants and Owners but when addressing an e-mail I do not
have access to these sub folders,it's as if they don't
exist. How do I access them so I can address an e-mail to
a tenant at 195 Garfield?

Q1) Because that's the way the Outlook Address Book works.

Q2) Because you probably haven't made them part of the Outlook Address Book
by checking the box on the folder's Properties dialog.

On the folders Properties sheet I go to Outlook Address
Book tab and the "show this folder as a e-mail address
book" check box is checked., is that what you mean? Still
doesn't work

Yes, that box needs to be checked in order for any folder to appear in the
Outlook Address Book. Do you not see Tenants and Owners under Outlook
Address Book along with Contacts in the address book? What do you see there?

Also note: The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not quote
earlier messages in the thread, making your latest message so short on
detail that you risk not getting the answer you're looking for. Please take
the time to quote the original message.

So why dont you (and others) post at the bottom so you can read the
question?

Top posting is a waste of time.
