Question about Borders and Shading

I am trying to create my own designed Border that I want to apply to a table.
I have looked everywhere and it looks as though there is no way to do it.

to make it more clear this is what I want.....
So I go to INSERT --> Table and just create a normal table
Then Table Tools --> Design -->Draw Borders and I click on the square with
an arrow in the bottom right hand corner of it.
From there in the Borders tab I would like to add my own designed style of
border. That is where I have hit a wall.... Is it do able?

I'm afraid you've hit another wall - although you don't say so your
description suggests you're using Word 2007 which is a Windows version. This
is the Mac Word group :) I know what you want to do could be done in
earlier versions but whether those methods apply to 2007 I'm not sure. You'd
do best to inquire in the PC Word group for Drawing & Graphics:
