Question About Date Function

I know it's basic, but I can't find it in the manual. How can I create the
current date in a cell so that it is the create date of the sheet, and is
not updated every time I open the sheet with the current date? Thanks.

CTRL-semicolon will insert the date (fixed at that point), Similarly,
CTRL-SHIFT-semicolon (or CTRL-colon) will give you a time-stamp.

Hope this helps.

That is so cool! I looked up three manuals and could not find it anywhere.
The closest I came was a suggestion that I write a macro. Thank you very
much.
