Question about deleted macros/modules

Hi, I have a question about deleted macros/modules. I had a couple of very
simple Word macros in a module in a document. I deleted the module, but
every time I open the document it still gives me that dialog box with the
message about enabling or disabling macros. There were no other macros in
the document before the ones that I created. Is there something else I have
to do to eliminate this message?

Thanks in advance for any information.

FJ,
Did you actually delete the module, or did you only delete the lines of
code?
If you only deleted the lines of code, then you need to right-click on the
module in the Project Explorer and click Remove, or select File > Remove.
If that's not the issue... then I'm not sure what's next...

Hi, David, thanks for your response. I deleted the module, not just the
macros, but it still gave me the dialog box with the enable/disable macros
message. What’s interesting, though, is that I finally tried resetting all
the keyboard shortcuts for the file and that seemed to eliminate the dialog
box. I’m not sure why that should matter, though. I thought that if the
module where the macros were stored was deleted then the customized keyboard
shortcuts for those macros would just return to their defaults. I don’t
remember having to reset keyboard shortcuts for deleted macros before, but I
could be wrong.

Save the document as an .RTF file, then close it and then re-open it and
re-save it back as a .DOC file.
