Question about Forms and XL

Good afternoon, I just found this site and will be spending some tim
here. However, I am at work and have to take care of so things so
cant spend the time to search so I am going to layout my problem in th
hopes that someone can advise on which course of action to take.

In my company we use several different excel workbooks for variou
tasks. I have several sales people who travel extensively world wid
and as a result they often use various connections methods. I recentl
deployed an ssl vpn which has made remote access easy however I am lef
with one large problem. THe main XL sheet that have to access is calle
"Purchase and Sale" it is not a large book however, when someone i
connecting from a third world country over a cell connection.. it ca
drag or lock up while trying to DL the whole book to make one smal
sales entry" Several lines of text no media and some calculations".

What I would like to do is the following.
Leave the entire workbook on the server and have a form that they ca
access that will allow them to enter the data and submit the form an
the data is submitted to the form. I would like that form to sta
seperate so that it can be opened with out downloading the entir
workbook, which at that time they dont need.

In addition, I would like them sales people to be able query one fiel
in the sheet so they are given their order number and then they ca
submit the info to that specific row in the sheet.

I am a total XL Noob and really need to get something like this going
This is basically an interim solution to the large scale CRM and Orde
Tracking system that is at least 18 months from completion. I also onl
need this to work for approximately 5 mobile users.

Any help, advice or websites would be appreciated. I will als
entertain reasonably priced commerical offers at a later date. For no
I am trying this myself.

Thanks
