Question about message rule when sending.

J

Joe Grover

One of our office managers has asked me to look into creating a particular
message rule. She is using Windows XP Pro SP3, Office 2003 SP3 and we have
a Microsoft Exchange 2003 server running SP2.

She wants to set something up so that when composing and sending a message
that has a particular word is in the message body orthe subject, but there
is no file attachment, the user will either be prompted or the message in
some other way would not be sent. For example, she may be sending out a
file attachment to a number of clients, but doesn't want to forget to attach
the document.

Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Joe,

Outlook does not do this natively (nor can Rules be setup to do this), but
check out Attachment Forget-Me-Not - it scans the outgoing email to find out
if there were clues that an attachment was supposed to be there but is not
and gives you a chance to put it on there. Find out more at
http://www.SperrySoftware.com/Outlook/Attachment-Forget-Me-Not.asp.

There are also other tools at

Hope this helps!
