Several questions and some explanation:
I'm working with a client that would like to use MODI to OCR incoming TIFFs
and store the derived text so that they can perform a full text search on the
Oracle database the images are stored in.
1) Under what terms is MODI licensed?
2) Is it part of Microsoft Office and licensed as such, or can it be
licensed separately?
3) Is it possible to build and deploy this application on a computer that
does not have Microsoft Office installed already?
4) Is it possible to legally sell this application to a customer without
either requiring them to already own a legal copy of Microsoft Office or
resell them a legal copy of Microsoft Office in addition to any other
software/hardware/development charges?
