Comment from http://support.microsoft.com: “Note Currently, there are no
tools that are publicly available to provide a comprehensive stress test for
Project Server 2003.†It means that it is practically impossible to fulfill a
good stress test of the Project Server 2003. So I would like to here your
opinions about performance capabilities of the product.

Is here in the forum anybody who have a real experience of using Project
Server 2003 in a big corporation with more than 1000 employers? I mean
scenario where much of the users use the system simultaneously working with
projects with much of tasks and resources.

What do you think about the scenario: Corporation with more than 1000
employers – potential Project users, much of them use WBA to fill timesheets,
about 200 project managers use Project Professional to manage there own
projects, about 100 of managers who need some kind of Project reports.

Second question: what are performance bottlenecks of the system?

Thank you for any information.

Hi,

Ouch, 1000 Employers?!!

During the beta test for project there was someone testing using 30,000
resources, so 1,000 resources is not going to stress a well designed system
at all. I would recommend you get an experienced Project Server consultant
to design and implement your system though. The cost would be saved many
times over in lost time through retries, failed attempts etc.
