I recently bought a copy of Project Pro 2003 on ebay that was listed as a new
full version ready to install and register, however I only received the CD
and not all of the associated packaging and materials. My question is this -
since I don't have the usual haulogram to authenticate the software, is there
a way that I can find out if the software is a valid copy using the Product
Key through Microsoft support? I'm hesitant to open the CD and install the
software unless I can validate it as authentic for two reasons: first, if
it's fake it doesn't belong on my machine, and second, also if fake, I need
to be able to charge back to the seller and I don't want to commit to the
purchase by opening the CD envelope.
Any information regarding authenticating this software copy would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks.
