Question about replacing Macros in Word 2008 with Apple script

P

Paul Boucher

Does anyone know of an archive or repository of Apple scripts to replace the
now defunct Word Macro capability?

Microsoft has disabled recording custom macros in Word 2008 - and I am
reluctant to go back to repeating every day tasks step by step if I don't
have to.

I have relatively simple 5 step re-formatting action (that can't be
accomplished in Automator with the pre-configured actions).

However, despite being on a Mac for a few years, I have no Apple script
experience, and really don't have the time to delve into it too much without
guidance, or part of the work being done for me and help from there.

Thanks for any help.

Hi paul -

What pecifically are the 5 "steps" in your reformatting action? Are they not
something that could be included in a custom Style or Find & Replace?
