Question about SQL Database for Project Server

I have been asked by a manager here if it is possible to
host the database for Project Server and a SQL database
for another application on the same instance of SQL.

Does anyone have any information on how well Project gets
along with other applications on the same server?

Yes it is possible to use the same instance of SQL Server..
It shouldn't cause any problems. The limiting factor is how fast your
hardware is and what the load is.
