When we try to save something like a building blocks entry to a global
template that is in our startup folder, the building blocks organizer lets us
chose that option, and appears to work. But when we close Word, we receive a
message like this:
"You have modified styles, building blocks (such as cover pages or headers),
or other content that is stored in Tmpl.dotm.
Do you want to save changes to tmpl.dotm?"
YES NO CANCEL
When we select YES, we receive a new message stating:
This file is read-only
OK
The only way we can close word is to not save changes made to our global
template.
Is this behavior normal?
