Question about Word 2007

Hi All, I have Office 2007 loaded on a XP op system, when using the Word 07
program I noticed in any document I bring up I cant make a "Center Text
Alignment". The right and left buttons work fine, but the center text
alignment button is always light gray and will not function. What's up with
that, anyone know? Thank for the help, Tim

How about the full justify button...does that one work? Does that happen
only if you open pre-existing documents or does it happen with new documents
too? If it happens only with pre-existing files, it could be something funky
in the applied template.

You could try deleting the "Normal.dotm" file (make sure it's the one for
your account). A new one will be created when you open Word.

Hi Tim, doesn't seem to matter if it's a new doc or an old one being opened.
I just tried it again, same thing "Aligned Text Center" is grayed out and
just doesn't work. Very strange!

What languages do you have installed? It could be you have a language
enabled that doesn't support Center alignment. To find your enabled
languages, in the Start menu, locate the group for Office 2007 and then find
Microsoft Office Tools, then Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings.

Hi, language setting is set for English, no others are in the box.
