Question about Word

L

loomie

I am needing to have a name field autopopulate throughout the document. More
specifically, when the participant fills in their name on the first page, I
am wanting it to autopopulate throughout the 10 pg document in the footer.
I've done this before using word, but I'm now using 07 word and I cannot seem
to figure out how to make this work. Any help or suggestions would be
appreciated!

This question could have many answers. What is the user "filling" their
name into on the first page? In Word2007 the simplest way to do this would
probably be to use one of the 15 special built-in mapped contentcontrols
(Document Properties) available from the Insert>QuickParts>DocumentProperty.
Perhaps "Author" would work. Then copy the the ContentControl to the
footer.
