Question cc Sorting reports into a specific order

Is there a method for sorting a report in the design view by a
specific order, not just sort in ascending or descending order?

You can build a sort translation table like this --
Order Char
1 D
2 B
3 Z
4 5
5 K
...
25 A
26 2
...
36 j

Then a calculated field --
MySort: IIF(Left([YourField],1)=[Trans].[Char], [Trans].[Order],"") &
IIF(Right(Left([YourField],2),1))=[Trans].[Char], [Trans].[Order],"")

This is for first two character but can be expanded.
