Question on formatting a title page

I am doing an essay and need to format the title page so that the title
appears in the center of the page. I know how to center the lines but how
do I get the text block to center vertically on the page. I've seen it done
in the windows version of word before but for the life of me cant remember
how. Does anyone know the steps to accomplish this is word for Macintosh.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi Brian,

Go to Format> Document> Layout. Change Vertical Alignment to Center.

This will affect the entire document. So if the title page is part of the
same file as the paper, put a section break between the title page and the
body of the paper, and in the Layout dialog, be sure that Center is set to
Apply To: "this section only".

Otherwise a partially filled last page may also come out vertically
centered.
