Recently installed MS Word 2004 on a new iMac, but I guess the
preferences aren't the same.

I have one specific question:

How do I type "1/2" as "1" + "/" + "2" without MS Word automatically
jumping in to substitute the single "1/2" character? Which preference do
I have to tweak?
