my question button does not work so i am posting my question this way
when i close my outlook express i get an automatic pop up that asks me to
free up disk space by havin outlook compact my messages oops i said yes once
and lost all my messages in my inbox - how do i stop this pop up

As far as I know, the dialog in question can't be suppressed. You might
want post this question in an outlook express newsgroup instead of this one
since we focus on Microsoft Outlook which is part of the Office product
line.
