I am really frustrated. When I open word, word tries to install features. If
I hit the cancel button, I get this message.

Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word has not been installed for the current user. Please run
setup to install the application.

The problem is, I am the only user . I am running windows xp and have a
micron pc laptop. I don't know what triggered this strange behavior. I
really hope we can figure this out. I really need word to work as I take
classes that involve written assignments. Thanks for your help.

This may be caused by installing Word with a different login without
supervisory permissions, the install wasn't completed or you have a corrupt
user profile.
