Hi,
I am developing a database (Access 2003) for Human Resources to catalog
employee stengths and weakenesses. This data is from an external web based
questionaire. The results will be downloaded for me in a comma delimited
file. I created a table for the raw data which populates without error.
Issue: There are different types of answers.
** Question 1 - 18 is multiple choice - 6 choices- up to 6 True / False
entries
Question 19 - 34, 37 - 52, 54 - 59 are rated on a scale - 1 numerical
Question 35, 36, & 63 - 76 are short answer
** Question 53 is multiple choice with up to 22 choices
Each question has its own field in the raw data table. So the multiple
choices have 6 fields for each question. I would like to create Append
queries to move the data into usable tables.
*** how is the best way to create tables for multiple choice answers not
limited to one answer per question?
I am unable to open downloads over the internet due to firewall restriction -
or I would have checked out the great links you have posted through out this
website.
I have previous Access (97& 2000) experience but picking this up again after
4 year hiatus.
