Questions about Groove 2007

Hi

I just got a couple questions. Is there anyway to in a sense recover older
versions of the files?

Like say this happens my computer crashes I have to recover from a backup 2
days ago. All my partners have the latest copy in there groove. I recover and
open my groove that has an older version of the file. Won't it take my copy
and try to replace all the other ppls copy. So then everyone would have an
older version.

Same thing what happens if some one deletes the file and that sync gets sent
to all the other ppls groove clients. How can you recover from something like
that?

Also when the file gets in groove where does the actually file get saved. Is
there any copy that is on the update?

Thanks

Hi Chobo2 -

Your computer crashes. Don't recover your Groove spaces - chances are it
won't wor anyway. Instead, get a fresh invitation to those spaces.

Deleting files. Yup. They'll be gone. Take action to prevent this occurring
by setting the space permissions to turn off the delete abilities for space
members.

There are backup options for Groove.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/907230 describes the manual way

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...ec-bc62-43f8-adf4-f52c812f287d&displaylang=en
describes the automatic way. I'm not sure what options are still available,
other than Bambuco.

Groove only maintains the latest copy of the file.
