Questions about setting up e-commerce

I don't know if anyone can help, but here goes...

Although i have experience of designing websites, i have no experience
of setting up an e-commerce one, which i have just been asked to do.

Can anyone tell me.....
1 which is the best e-commerce package in terms of usability and
setting up?
2 If an e-commerce package is purchased by myself, can it be used for
someone else's website, or would a seperate package need to be
purchased? (for reasons of passwords, account No's etc)
3 Along the same lines, can the same package be used for multiple
clients?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

most of the questions will hinge on the license agreement that comes with
the software.

here is a great cart that is cheap enough you won't want to multiple deploy
without paying the extra fee ;-)
