Just a couple of questions about working with the resource pool NOT
using ProjectServer. In an environment where there are master and
subprojects linked to a resource pool:
1) Do you have to have all projects open to perform leveling? Or can
this be done straight from the resource useage view in the resource
pool?
2) Assuming that I would have someone assigned to constantly checking
for overallocations ... on a weekly basis is it reasonable to assume
that someone could handle leveling 100 open projects (average task
count per project = 200) against the same pool of fifty people after
schedules have been updated with progress? Has anyone seen this work
successfully? I'm thinking about assigning someone half time to
activities like this.
Thanks in advance,
