questions concerning events on a page

Hi folks, I'm new to FrontPage and have created a basic web site with an
attached database. The database contains a table of country names and
cities within each country. I am able to populate 2 drop down boxes
(database result fields), one containing the list of country names, the
other the list of city names - all of them.

Here's what I want to do... as the user changes the country selection I want
to re-populate the city list to only contain cities for that country (a
subset of the entire list of cities). I have looked over FrontPage, it's
parameter abilities and such but cannot seem to figure this out, so I have 2
questions:

1 - within the "city" drop-down list, how do I reference the current
selection of the "country" drop-down list?

2 - How does the "city" drop down list get notified of the event generated
when a "country" selection change is performed as I do not see any
"on-event" capabilities.

Thanks for the info, that works well. However I was hoping to avoid the use
of the submit buttons and for the city field to be repopulated as the
country is selected within it drop down list - any help in this area?

You can use JavaScript to create an OnChange function for when something in
the drop down is selected. See the scripts at
http://javascript.internet.com
