Questions on implementation

1.Where does the “Assigned to†lookup the names under risk and issues?
How do we control them?
2.For the team member’s task (timesheet) update, can we set/control a weekly
notification to the team lead(or project manager) instead of per update
notification?
3.Can we automate the creation of the project name?
4.How can we add the fields/data that is not available in the creating OLAP
reports?
5. How do we close a project? Do we just archive them?
6. How do we reopen a project? Do we just update the information
(timesheet, task or resources) and publish again?

Hope to hear from you...

thanks

1. When you publish a project to Project Server, WSS automatically adds
users to the SharePoint subweb for the project. These users include the
project manager, project team members, Project Server administrators, plus
those who have the View Project Documents, Issues, and Risks permission in
the system.

2. The system notifies you automatically each time a team member submits a
task update. I know of no default method of change this to a weekly batch
notofication.

3. You would need to use VBA or PDS to do so.

4. You would need to extend the OLAP cube programmatically.

5. You would need to develop your own methodology for closing projects in
Project Server. It depends whether you want the closed projects to remain
in the Project Server database, or whether you want to archive them on
another Project Server instance.

6. Same as #5 for reopening closed projects.

Just some thoughts. Hope they help.
