Quick Access Toolbar customizations reset now and then...

One of our users customizes their quick access toolbar (Word 2007 Enterprise
Edition).
They complain that every few weeks, the toolbar resets to its default
settings and looses any Word commands that were added to it.
What might be the possibla cause for this?

The QAT is saved as a file 'Word.qat' in the user file area of Windows ie
C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\OFFICE
in Vista it is at
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\

Is there some reason why this location should be lost e.g. when logging
in/out of a networked system?
Maybe the user could keep a backup of this file and restore it after such a
problem occurs?
