Quick import question

Just want to verify I am correct before moving foward with an import.

I have 2 computers, one laptop and one desktop. Both with Outlook
2007 and both have the same email accounts.

The desktop hasnt been used in a couple of days and the laptop
contains a few new messages.

Question is, if I export the stuff from the laptop than import it to
the desktop, selecting do not import duplicates, will this merge the
newly exported stuff with the current stuff without overwritting the
entire old file?

I don't recommend importing, it can cause more problems than it's worth
including corrupting the PST on occasion. I recommend copying the entire PST
over and replacing the less updated one with it.

That would be my first choice, however, the person using the PC and
desktop used both at this mourning. Meaning there are now some new
messages on one machine and a few on the other that dont match.

You still shouldn't export or import. Just transfer the PST from one PC to
the otrher and open it in Outlook with File>Open>Outlook Data File. Copy the
data you want from the second calendar to the first.

I said "calendar", but it can be any folder. If you have messages in the
Inbox on the transferred PST that you want in the default Inbox, select those
messages and either right-click and drag to the default INbox or click
Edit>Copy to Folder and specify the defaul Inbox as the destination.
