Quick Parts 2007 Word

I have a word template that I need to add a Quick Part (I think it is called
‘fillin’) for a part of the footer description. The fillin needs to repeat
the value for all pages in the doc with a single prompt. At the moment I get
prompted for ‘fillin’ for each footer?
How can I link a single fillin to all footers in the template? Am I using
the correct add in?
