Quick Parts for outlook 2007 Does not save

I am looking for a solution for outlook 2007 quick parts. I use to use
autotext with 03 and it worked great. Quick Parts seemed like a great feature
but i can not get it to work.

When i create a quick part and save it to emailnormal.dotm it does not
actually save. It will appear in the drop down until I exit outlook. When I
re-open outlook and go to create an emai it is no longer anywere to be found.

Please give me some advice in simple to use format.

I am having the same issue on two specific machines but not on others. HELP!
This feature if very important to us and I would like to make it work.

I am having the same issue. I am currently implementing SharePoint 2007 and
Office 2007 for a client and after having convinced them to use QuickParts in
Word and Outlook, I realized this issue prevents using this feature all
toghether. Microsoft should update their Office training page to note this
issue so we don't have to lead our clients with faulty information.

After trying many different things I came to the conclusion that the
NormalEmail.dotm (the template for outlook) was corrupt. I did a search for
the file; renamed to old and did a complete shutdown. Opened up Outlook
recreated the Quick Parts and they have been there now for two weeks with no
problems. Outlook has been closed and reopened multiple times and the
machine rebooted. The workaround Charles references below states just that
but I did not have to run anything as Administrator. Hope this helps
everyone!
