Quick Print sends to Last Used Printer not Default Printer

When I click on Quick Print in Office 2007, it sends the document or
spreadsheet to the last printer used rather than the default printer. On the
button, it indicates that it should print to the default.

Is there a setting for this? Is it just something weird I have to live with?
Is it user error? Help! Thanks!

That's how it's always been. When you change to a different printer that
printer becomes the Active Printer and the printer used by Quick Print and
listed by default in the Print dialog box. It will be reset to your default
printer when you restart the application. If you are referring to the
description of the button then it's wrong. If you want to see which printer
is actually being used then right-click the Quick Print command and then
click "Add to Quick Access Toolbar". Then on the Quick Access toolbar when
you view the ScreenTip the Active Printer will be accurately be displayed.

Thank you very much! The description is wrong on the button, but it makes
more sense that it would send it to the last printer used.

In reality you don't actually have to "use" the printer, just open
Print, and Select a different printer, then Cancel, the selected printer
now becomes the "active printer".

Not to nitpick (hey, that's what I do, just ask MS lololol) but when you do
change to different printer in the Print dialog box the Cancel button
changes to Close.

So it does! Maybe I should sit closer to the screen! I just punch the
button with the "C". <grin>
