quick question about adding wmv's to my site

I'm encoding our TV commercials as complressed WMV's and putting them on our
site. One of our competitors (who appears to also use FrontPage) is doing
the same thing but using a lot less compression on their files compaired to
mine. My problem is that their files download as fast if not faster than
mine. Is there some trick in FrontPage I'm just not seeing or is this more
of a host issue?

FP has nothing to do with compression or download speed of the videos.

Well I figured that would be the case... but I can't really think of any
other reason my videos would download slower than theirs do... especially
when mine are close to half the size. My hosting is pretty standard and I
can't imagine the competitor paying extra for any sort of faster file
transfer.

I guess I'll check around to see if there's something else I am overlooking.

It can depend on the tools used to compress the video, as well as the
bandwidth & download speed of the ISP, and your own ISP connection.
