You removed the office shotcut toolbar from office 2003, but it is the one
feature that I use and I know many people use. I always use this set up to
fit into the "titlearea". this is the area on the top right of the screen.
If you are going to remove this feature, don't tell your customers that it
is replaced by simply using the quicklaunch toolbar. the whole point of the
old office shortbar fitting into the "title bar area" was that it does not
interfere with anything, that spot is wasted space on the screen, and
replacing with a quicklaunch toolbar effectively moves the top of the screen
down by the thickness of this toolbar.
my suggestion is to add an option to the quicklaunch toolbar feature that
allows the toolbar to fit into the "titlebar area" that the office toolbar
allowed. I imagine that toolbar addition would be fairly trivial and it
would be a huge addition not to office, but to windows!
