Quicklook .docx certain files won't display

I have a really weird issue on my Macs (a Macbook and a Macbook Air). Certain .docx files will not quicklook - I just get a generic icon. If I copy SOME of the text into a new file generally quicklook works but if I copy all the text and save the new document, once again it doesn't work. I don't seem to be able to pin down the problem area (copying line by line would be too time consuming and a number of files are like this). Any idea what could be hiding in the text to stop quicklook? I'm using Office 2008 12.1.5 and OS X 10.5.6.

Make sure the file name has the correct extension.

Mac OS X relies on the extension to tell QuickLook what kind of data is in
the file. If it doesn't recognise the extension, it can't read the file.

Cheers
